Formal Wedding Guest Glam

BCBGMAXAZRIA Maryana Mesh Inset Crepe Gown

Hi all! Today I bring you this uber glamorous outfit post--the most elegant yet on the blog, appropriately posted on Oscar's night. Lol. I wore this to my friend's beautiful wedding at the Mandarin Oriental in Brickell yesterday. It was such a fun night with an abundance of incredible food, a fun live band, and even a rave afterparty! Definitely the most memorable wedding I've been to yet. And did I mention the food? Never had I eaten so much at a wedding. Good thing this dress fit me perfectly-- it wasn't tight anywhere at all and made me feel like a million bucks.

Shout-out to my mom who spotted this dress at Macy's in January (still available at Nordstrom here) and made me try it on. I have to admit I didn't like it on the rack, but fell in love the minute I put it on and realized it fit like it was made for me. How beautiful are the mesh lace cutouts? I mean I just loved this dress, and it was a major hit. I hope I get to wear it again! That's the sad part about buying a dress like this-- how rarely we get to dress our best. But short gals like me can't do Rent the Runway because we're too short! I don't understand why they don't cater to the 5'1" and under crowd. They're really losing out.

Another shout-out to my mom for letting me borrow basically every accessory I have on! Lol. We hoard our clothes and accessories because we know everything comes back eventually, and what's beautiful is beautiful and timeless. I hope to pass on many of my own things to a daughter some day.

Thanks for reading, everyone!
