Dressy Casual

casual weekend outfit

Hi all!
So this outfit is from a cool, breezy day in early March. I thought it would be our last spring-like day but turns out the temperature dropped to the 60's yesterday and this morning! Weird.

Work Style Wednesday: Spring OOTDs

colorful spring work outfits

Hey guys! This little collage here displays some of the outfits I've worn in the past week. I wore the super casual mustard and jean ensemble last Friday, and got so many compliments from people! It was one of those days where everyone pays you compliments and you're like, "Really? But this isn't even that special, and I don't even have makeup on, and I have brushed my hair in days..." Ok, maybe that last one is just me. Haha. But seriously, just goes to show that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That, plus the trusty ol' Charter School Cardigan (affiliate link here) makes you look so much more bright and sunshiny than you're actually feeling inside.

I wore a neutral monochromatic look today and I really wanted to show you guys, but I lost my remote control (you know, I take my own pictures during the weekdays). So I'll wear it again and show you on the next Work Style Wednesday. And now, for this week's linkup:

Hello Weekend!

spring weekend outfit

It's Saturday and I am thrilled! It's my first one off since early January, and though I have 203 things to do before Monday, I'm getting a full weekend to do it!

So here's a super casual yet super adorable virtual outfit to commemorate all the errand-running and catching-up work I will be doing this weekend.

Off I go!

Today's Work Style Wednesday was brought to you by my lust for spring dresses when, alas, I can't wear any at my current job. Because you know how it is when you can't have something! And apparently I was really into cobalt when I put this post together. I love every single one of these colorful and feminine work dresses. They're all from eShakti, Ann Taylor, ModCloth, and The Limited-- some of my favorite stores for work clothes.

And now for the Work Style Wednesday linkup!

February Recap

Hello, all! This February it was quite difficult to maintain regular scheduling. Turns out, juggling a style blog with a (very) full client caseload and endless managed care paperwork is not that simple! But I'm happy with the three outfits I was able to post. Which one did you like best?

February 2015 recap
Safari Chic // Vibrant Valentine // Peach and Mustard
I have two outfits from February left to post, but they don't feel very March-appropriate. Allow me to explain: There's no real distinction between the seasons in Miami, so I like to make pseudo-markers for them through my outfit choices. For example, I don't really wear florals (which you know I love!) in the "winter." I also like to keep my colors on the darker side, whether it's in my lipstick or my clothing. Then when the next season arrives, my spring-typical clothes feel like new again, because I haven't seen or worn them in months. This system also helps me decide what I'm still in love with and what should be donated.

And here were my favorite Instagram moments:
