Last weekend I went to Halloween Horror Nights, an annual month-long, nighttime only event in Universal Studios featuring incredible haunted houses and spooky "scare zones" filled with scary people waiting to scare you in every corner. I was extra excited this year because of the strong Walking Dead theme. The series got its own haunted house (for which we stood in line for 2 and a half hours!), and there were creepy "walkers" (zombies) not just in the haunted house but ALL OVER the park too!
This is me doing "edgy". Because HHN is definitely edgy. |
There's a rhinestone missing. Shh. Don't tell anyone. |
Speaking of edgy, I was really on edge and more scared than usual this year, probably because the "scareactors" weren't confined to the easily detectable scare zones. The ones that freaked me out the most were the escaped, mentally ill female prisoners with chainsaws and The Walking Dead walkers.
What I wore
Top: Loft
Denim vest: 80's vintage (mom's closet)
Leggings: American Apparel
Toms: Ash Canvas Classics
Earrings: The Limited (old)
Necklace: Francesca's Collections
(got it last month for $10 on clearance!)
Scroll down for awesome scary pictures!
These things had double faces, so you didn't know if he was looking at you or not! |
A walker! |
Thanks to this guy for this great picture! |
I watched one of the deranged female prisoners (pictured below) corner two little girls and just stare at them, revving up her chainsaw intermittently. She told them, "I'm gonna get you. You just watch," and kept staring intently. All the while an accomplice was hiding from the girls' view, waiting for the right time to pop out. They were so focused on the crazy, pigtailed lady who corned them to begin with that they let their guard down, allowing the accomplice to scare the life out of them both as they jumped, screamed, and cried, holding hands and running for their dear lives far, far away from the scare zone, as fast as they could.
Bloody nurse sells yummy blood. |
This is what you do when you refuse to pay $16 for a picture. Lol |
