2014 Recap + New Linkup Announcement!!

By now you've probably seen so many yearly reviews you're kinda over it already. I've been working on this review since mid-December, but this is the first chance I've gotten to actually finish and post it!

So without further ado, here are some of my favorite looks and shots of 2014:

Hey, you made it through all my faves!

It was a pretty good blogging year; I got 60 looks up (see them all here), compared to 42 in 2013 (my first full year of blogging).

So far 2015 looks like it'll be very difficult to maintain the same level of productivity, but in the words of Barney Stinson: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! I'm really liking my new crazy job and I love blogging and I don't think I should have to choose between the two! I will do it all or die trying!

Ok, so maybe that was a little dramatic. But I mean it: everything about blogging is so special to me, whether it's meeting fun, fashion-minded people, gathering inspiration from daily reads, or collaborating with other bloggers.

So I am very excited to announce that Martha Palacios of Sun Fun Fashion and I will be hosting a weekly "Work Style Wednesday" linkup!

Since Martha and I are both part-time bloggers with full-time careers outside of fashion, we thought we'd create a space that reflects our daily 9 to 5 dress code. And, of course, 9 to 5 (or however many hours you work) doesn't have to mean boring! We believe that fashion-forward and office-appropriate are not mutually exclusive terms. We created this linkup for fashion-minded women with professional or business casual tastes or dress codes at work; nothing is off limits as long as it's work-appropriate. And if you ask a blogger, "work-appropriate" can include color, pattern, texture, statement pieces, heels, flats, casual looks, refined looks, simple outfits, busy outfits. There are so many winning formulas out there!

So we hope that you'll join us next week for our very first Work Style Wednesday and help us create stunning weekly collections of your best work looks. :)
