Ahh, today was such a hectic day you guys!
I woke up 30 minutes late and had to rush through these blog photos. I couldn't get any detail shots (those always take me longer!) but I think you get the idea.
Ever since I started working with younger kids I've put a lot of thought into how I want to come across (nurturing yet firm) and how to execute that look in a way that's true to my style. For one thing, I wear stretchy work pants a lot, and jeans. This does not make me happy. My work style is way more complex than that! And it's being reduced to stretchy pants and jeans! Grr!
But I'm really loving this job so I've got to suck it up and evolve. These pants are fitted and not stretchy AT ALL but I knew I'd be sitting all day instead of playing on the floor, so I was able to get away with wearing them today. I chose this outfit for this edition of Work Style Wednesday because the whole think screamed "Pre-k teacher" to me, haha. The polka dot cardigan from Target is so cute and super kid-friendly. Overall, I think the outfit says approachable and nurturing, but also firm. The statement necklace adds a lot to it too, in a non-ostentatious way because it rests neatly behind the chambray shirt.

I love the way those pants look on you. I really want to buy some trousers like that, but I'm always hesitant that I'll look funny in them. But back to this fabulousness that is your outfit: The rolled up sleeves are perfect here! Love the polka dot cardi too :)

Ahhh, it's perfect! It says everything you want to present about yourself and is still stylish. Love the touch of polka dots :)
